Salary Range: $74,400 - $119,700 (SA-II)

What your job will be like:
Manage the day-to-day production of cash receipts, deposits, subcontractor accruals, payroll reporting, and leave accruals. As such, the individual will be the primary interface to all Jefferson Lab personnel for finance and payroll related matters. Responsible for the development of desktop procedures and contributing to the improvement of all processes, policies, and procedures. Back-up for the Treasury and Fixed Asset /Systems Accountants.

In this job you will:
Audits timesheets to insure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the contract, and Jefferson Lab Policies and Procedures.

Effectively manages the daily entering of cash receipts and deposits, which includes review and validation of funds received and accounts charged. Ensure Cash items are recorded accurately. Development of proper journal entries.

Support in the Production of payroll:
Monitors and tracks SubK accruals status, works with procurement team to ensure completion and accuracy of accruals within the schedule.

Audits Accruals to ensure compliance with the policies and procedures set forth my DOE and JLAB Management.

401(k) processing.

Manages, reconciles and processes all benefit payments and transmissions.

Supports Internal & External Audit to include, ICE, DCAA, Floor Check and Worker’s Compensation Reporting.

Backup for the Treasury and Fixed Asset/Financial systems accountants.

Experience

Required: 5 or more years accounting or payroll experience.

Education

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or a related field)

Experience and Education Exchange

Education above the minimum may be substituted for experience.

Relevant experience may be substitued for education.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Medium: Knowledge of Accounting practices and principles with the ability obtain in-depth knowledge of the workings of payroll.

Medium: General familiarity with the Circular-E and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Low: General familiarity with Preparing Multi-State taxes (e.g. 941, VA-16s, and SUTA).
