Position Summary

The Payroll Support Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for clients seeking technical assistance with payroll and other workforce management products on the UKG Ready platform. The role ensures accurate payroll processing, system configuration support, and responsive client service while maintaining strong client relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Processes payroll using the UKG Ready platform accurately and within required deadlines
  • Assists clients remotely with payroll processing through phone, email, or virtual meetings
  • Maintains payroll production calendars to ensure scheduled payroll runs are completed on time
  • Performs quarter-end tax reconciliation analysis and completes year-end payroll procedures for assigned clients
  • Provides technical support and guidance to clients on payroll and time and labor management (TLM) functions within UKG Ready
  • Develops and maintaining an extensive understanding of company services and UKG Ready payroll and workforce management products
  • Collaborates with the HRIS, TLM, Tax, and Implementation departments to ensure timely and accurate system configuration
  • Assists other departments with payroll-related projects and supports training initiatives for team members
  • Conducts regular client check-ins to understand concerns, identify service needs, and recommend appropriate solutions or system reports
  • Maintains professional and positive client communication while representing the company’s service standards
  • Performs additional duties related to payroll support and client service as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Recent experience in robust HCM software (UKG Ready Preferred)
  • Experience with U.S. payroll and knowledge of employment laws
  • Spreadsheet proficiency
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Advanced customer relationship skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
