As the Payroll Technology Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the City’s ERP HCM Payroll and Time and Labor modules (currently PeopleSoft) and ensuring seamless payroll operations. You’ll:

Shape the future: Prepare and present short- and long-range proposals for payroll and HCM system enhancements, leveraging best practices and enterprise knowledge. Collaborate with internal partners to prioritize and plan approved initiatives.

Keep systems running smoothly: Manage service requests, system configuration, change management, system and business process documentation, and vendor maintenance for payroll-related functions.

Drive innovation & improvement: Test, validate, and implement HCM/Payroll system enhancements while ensuring compliance and reliability.

Collaborate with stakeholders: Engage with staff, management, and service providers to translate payroll business needs into practical HCM system solutions.

Be the go-to expert: Serve as a subject matter expert on ERP HCM Payroll, providing guidance on processes, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring accurate production work.

Enable smarter decisions: Design, create, and validate payroll reports to empower managers and staff with actionable insights.

Problem-solve with impact: Diagnose system issues and work with City IT staff and vendors to deliver effective solutions.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field and 3 to 5 years' experience in project management, IT operations, or a related field
