Job Title: Payroll/HR Coordinator

Location: On-Site

Employment Type: Full-Time

Starting Pay: $21.00/hour

Probationary Period: 3 months (pay rate will be reviewed after completion)

Overview:

Kay Dix Inc is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll/HR Coordinator to join our on-site team. This full-time role is responsible for supporting payroll processing and HR functions. Training will be provided, but prior payroll experience and bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are required.

Key Responsibilities:

Process weekly or biweekly payroll accurately and on time
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws
Assist with onboarding, orientation, and employee file management
Track employee time off, benefits, and leaves
Support HR communications and employee relations
Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy
Contribute to a professional, organized, and positive work environment

Requirements:

Payroll experience required
Bilingual (English/Spanish) – required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word – preferred
Experience with Sage payroll software – a plus
Willingness to learn — we will provide training
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information professionally
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or business preferred (HR coursework/certification is a plus)

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting at $21.00 per hour
3-month probationary period with pay rate review after completion
Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical coverage with a $150.00 company contribution.
Retirement Plan: 401(k) plan with up to 4% company match after 4 months of work
Paid Time Off (PTP): Vacation is typically granted after 2 years of continuous employment; however, for this position, paid vacation may be granted earlier depending on performance evaluation and responsibilities.
In addition, employees are eligible for up to 5 days (40 hours) of paid sick leave after completing 90 days of full-time employment.
