Payroll/HR Coordinator

Location: On-Site

Employment Type: Full-Time

Starting Pay: $21.00/hour

Probationary Period: 3 months (pay rate will be reviewed after completion)

Overview:

Kay Dix Inc is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll/HR Coordinator to join our on-site team. This full-time role is responsible for supporting payroll processing and HR functions. Training will be provided, but prior payroll experience and bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly or biweekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws
  • Assist with onboarding, orientation, and employee file management
  • Track employee time off, benefits, and leaves
  • Support HR communications and employee relations
  • Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy
  • Contribute to a professional, organized, and positive work environment

Requirements:

  • Payroll experience required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) – required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word – preferred
  • Experience with Sage payroll software – a plus
  • Willingness to learn — we will provide training
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or business preferred (HR coursework/certification is a plus)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting at $21.00 per hour
  • 3-month probationary period with pay rate review after completion
  • Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical coverage with a $150.00 company contribution.
  • Retirement Plan: 401(k) plan with up to 4% company match after 4 months of work
  • Paid Time Off (PTP): Vacation is typically granted after 2 years of continuous employment; however, for this position, paid vacation may be granted earlier depending on performance evaluation and responsibilities.
  • In addition, employees are eligible for up to 5 days (40 hours) of paid sick leave after completing 90 days of full-time employment.
