Key activities:
1. Provide technical advice and assistance on all aspects of Aircraft Performance Engineering
2. Contribute to performance documentation technical content, customization, revision and production in relevant published manuals and support material
3. Ensure that regulated performance for Take-off, En-route and Landing are monitored and revised on a regular basis:
a) Takeoff
- Constant monitoring and updating of airport database
- Design, validation and implementation of Engine Out procedures
- NOTAM assessment and implementation configuration and maintenance of the electronic performance tool
b) En-route
- Validation as appropriate of escape procedures for Drift down and Depressurization
c) Landing
- Constant monitoring and updating of airport database
- Configuration and maintenance of the electronic performance tool
- Research and apply methods to increase weights from landing performance penalties
4. Monitors and analyzes the Flight Planning System database constantly to ensure its adequacy, accuracy and compliance with the Civil Aviation Authority rules and regulations, ICAO adopted procedures, as well as Airline's policies and procedures and Standard Operations Manual.
5. Monitors the NOTAMs performance & implementation constantly; complies with all necessary regulatory publications such as AIP and Notams that may arise and affect the area of operation whilst ensuring the LIDO Flight Planning system is operating in accordance with regulatory and AIP requirements.
6. Identifies limitations on operational capabilities such as Notams, Navigation facilities, Air Traffic flow, aircraft performance and Mel requirements, in line with business requirements and in accordance with Company’s and civil aviation international regulatory guidelines and standards; suggests remedial solutions where applicable.
7. Ensures that non normal procedures, or dispatch under MEL items that affect aircraft performance are analyzed and proper guidance produced for crew and Dispatch.
8. Contribute to Weight and Balance aspects for our client, including but not limited to:
a) AHM560/565 data construction and validation
b) Load and Trim sheet production and validation
c) In Service modification and reweigh calculation and validation
9. Supports in Electronic Flight Bag System and troubleshooting issues and updates database as and when required.
10. Reviews Airfield Type A and B Obstacle Charts for analysis and conducts airport feasibility study.
11. Acts as Aircraft Performance Monitoring focal, to ensure that back office and aircraft systems accurately reflect aircraft performance degradation; calculates the performance data for all aircrafts and generates aircraft performance degradation.
12. Monitors the ETOPS constantly and generates reports as required.
13. Ensure each new route and new destination is assessed and evaluated for safe and efficient operation and conducts safety risk assessment and provides technical evaluation in terms feasibility.
14. Support all company’s new projects related to aircraft performance and operation efficiency
