  • Planning: Creating and implementing media plans that align with the company's goals
  • Buying: Negotiating with advertisers to secure the best rates and buying ad space on digital platforms
  • Monitoring: Tracking and analyzing campaign performance to ensure maximum ROI
  • Optimizing: Making changes to campaigns to improve performance
  • Reporting: Providing regular reports and analysis of campaign performance
  • Budgeting: Managing and maintaining the budget for media campaigns
  • Relationships: Managing relationships with media sales companies and clients
  • Collaboration: Working with creative, production, and analytics teams
  • Staying current: Keeping up to date with industry changes and new technologies

Digital media buyers work across a variety of media platforms, including:social media, search engines, websites, mobile apps, television, radio, magazines, and billboards. Digital media buyers should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, media studies, communications, or a related field
  • Previous working experience as a digital media buyer or a similar media position
  • In-depth knowledge of various marketing strategies and processes
