Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and ensure proper labeling, dosage, and administration instructions.
  • Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure legality, appropriateness, and accuracy.
  • Provide expert advice to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications.
  • Monitor patients’ responses to medications and suggest necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure the safe and secure storage of all pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances as per hospital and regulatory policies.
  • Participate in ward rounds (if applicable) to offer real-time pharmacological advice.
  • Train and supervise junior pharmacy staff, interns, or students.
  • Stay updated with developments in pharmacological science and clinical guidelines.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of hospital drug formularies and medication protocols.
  • Adhere to infection control, health & safety standards, and best pharmacy practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / Pharm.D / M.Pharm).
  • Valid license to practice as a pharmacist [as per regional/country regulatory authority].
  • Minimum [1–3] years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of drug therapy principles, hospital formulary systems, and clinical pharmacy practices.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology and clinical therapeutics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy information systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Working Conditions:
