Key Responsibilities:
- Dispensing & Patient Care
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications.
- Counsel patients on the safe and effective use of medicines.
- Advise on potential side effects, interactions, and storage of drugs.
- Inventory & Stock Management
- Maintain and monitor stock levels of medicines.
- Place orders and coordinate with suppliers/vendors.
- Ensure proper storage conditions and check expiry dates regularly.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure pharmacy operations comply with legal and medical regulations.
- Maintain proper records of drug dispensation, narcotics, and controlled substances.
- Support audits and inspections when required.
- Quality & Safety
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Report any adverse drug reactions or discrepancies.
- Implement and follow SOPs for safe pharmacy practices.
- Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
- Generate pharmacy reports (stock, usage, wastage).
- Escalate critical shortages or irregularities to management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm).
- Valid registration with State Pharmacy Council.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (hospital/retail pharmacy preferred).
- Strong knowledge of drug regulations and pharmacy laws.
- Good communication and counseling skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain records accurately.
