- Review and interpret physician prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy
- Prepare, compound, and dispense prescribed medications according to hospital policies and legal requirements
- Provide clinical advice to physicians, nurses, and patients regarding proper drug usage, dosage, and possible side effects
- Monitor patients for therapeutic response, potential drug interactions, and adverse reactions
- Maintain and manage the hospital’s drug inventory, ensuring proper storage and stock control
- Participate in ward rounds and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., NABH, Drug & Cosmetics Act)
- Educate patients and staff on safe medication practices and new drug therapies
- Maintain accurate records of controlled substances and other medications as per legal requirements
- Stay updated with new drugs, clinical trials, and best pharmacy practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm /Pharm.D) from an accredited institution
- Valid Pharmacist License/Registration under Punjab Pharmacy Council.
- Fresher Preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
