Our content is a major part of how we tell that story, connect with customers, and grow our community.

We are looking for an In-House Videographer / Photographer who can own the content production process from start to finish. This is not a narrow role for someone who only shoots or only edits. We need a true turnkey content producer who can develop ideas, plan shoots, capture high-quality photo and video, edit final assets, and deliver polished content to the social media and marketing teams.

Position Summary

Montana Knife Company is hiring an In-House Videographer / Photographer to help bring the brand to life through world-class visual storytelling. This person will be responsible for the full content creation process, including planning, shot setup, production strategy, filming, photography, editing, and final asset delivery.

The right candidate knows how to take an idea from concept to completion. They understand how to build content that is both visually strong and strategically useful. They can work independently, move quickly, and consistently produce finished assets that are ready for the social media team to publish across platforms.

This is an in-house role for someone who is highly creative, highly accountable, and capable of producing content at a high level without needing constant direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Own photo and video content production from start to finish

• Develop content ideas and production strategies that support marketing, product launches, brand campaigns, and social media goals

• Plan and organize shoots, including shot lists, locations, lighting, audio, gear, and creative direction

• Set up and execute shoots independently in studio, on location, and in fast-moving environments

• Capture high-quality video and photography for social media, digital marketing, ecommerce, product launches, and brand storytelling

• Film content independently without needing a large crew

• Edit video and photo assets into polished final deliverables

• Deliver final files in the proper formats and specs for the social media and marketing teams

• Work closely with the marketing, content, and social teams to align creative output with campaign needs and posting schedules

• Help create repeatable systems for content production that improve speed, consistency, and quality

• Maintain and organize raw files, final exports, project files, and asset libraries

• Ensure content reflects the Montana Knife Company brand, voice, and visual standards

• Contribute creative ideas that help grow brand awareness, engagement, and customer interest

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in videography, photography, content production, or a related creative role

• Proven ability to own the full production process from concept to final delivery

• Strong experience setting up shots, lighting, audio, and filming independently

• Strong editing skills in both video and photography

• Experience creating content for social media, digital campaigns, ecommerce, and brand storytelling

• Ability to build content with strategy in mind, not just capture footage

• Strong sense of visual composition, pacing, storytelling, and brand presentation

• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

• Comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with a team

• Ability to move fast, solve problems on the fly, and deliver polished work under deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working for a consumer brand, outdoor brand, lifestyle brand, hunting brand, or ecommerce company

• Experience creating content specifically for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other social platforms

• Familiarity with product photography, action footage, lifestyle content, and behind-the-scenes storytelling

• Experience with studio shoots, field shoots, and fast-turn editing

• Passion for the outdoors, craftsmanship, American manufacturing, and the Montana Knife Company brand

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: 65k - 100K (Based on experience)

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and Life insurance with a portion covered by MKC. Optional Voluntary Life/AD&D Plan. 401k Match.

Work Location

This is an in-house role based in Missoula, Montana.

Remote work is not available for this position.
