Position Overview
The Physician Liaison will play a key role in strengthening and expanding the practice’s referral relationships. This position is responsible for executing business development and outreach initiatives, working closely with the CEO, the Fractional Marketing Director, and other associates across the network.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources.
- Work with CEO and Fractional Marketing Director on the creation of a marketing budget and calendar.
- Collaborate with other Business Development/Marketing Associates in other RCA practices and the RCA Business Development Team.
- Perform 15–20 weekly site visits to referral sources.
- Contribute to marketing plans in collaboration with the Fractional Marketing Director.
- Develop an annual business development strategy including goals, provider visits, and educational events.
- Create and circulate a monthly practice newsletter to referral sources.
- Provide input for the development of patient education material customized to PNWR.
- Collaborate on market research to identify growth opportunities.
- Utilize tools such as Mailchimp, Keap, Zoho, Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Organize quarterly CME lectures for COPE credit, managing logistics, invites, and CE certification.
- Coordinate all aspects of marketing for new associate physicians, including ensuring rack cards are prepared at least 45 days before start date.
- Introduce new associate physicians to referral sources through in-person events or meetings.
- Create weekly Business Development PowerPoint reports for the CEO and Physician Leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business and patient information.
- Simplify complex data for reporting to management.
- Track and manage all referral activity through a Referral Tracker.
- Maintain a log of expenditures to comply with Stark & Anti-Kickback regulations.
- Track mileage and submit monthly reports to the CEO.
- Run reports in NextGen and MDI to monitor new patient volume.
- Attend community events sponsored or supported by the practice.
- Attend weekly and monthly internal meetings as assigned.
- Provide CEO with weekly summary reports.
- Complete additional administrative tasks assigned by the CEO or MD Leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a retina or ophthalmology practice preferred
- 2+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or healthcare outreach
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in Mailchimp, Keap, Zoho, Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Professional presence and the ability to represent the practice externally
- Understanding of healthcare compliance standards including Stark & Anti-Kickback regulations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
