Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Piping Fabricator to fabricate and assemble structural metal products, including piping and piping supports, in accordance with ISO and spool drawings. The role requires strong technical skills in fabrication processes, site measurement, and material handling, while maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble piping and supports according to ISO and spool drawings.
• Meet set production targets (100 DI/day – 6” SCH STD piping) without rejection.
• Carry out site measurement, fabrication, and weld preparation of pipework (2” to 82” on carbon steel, stainless steel, and low alloy steel).
• Develop layout and plan sequence of operations using knowledge of trigonometry, allowances, welding shrinkage, and metal properties.
• Locate and mark bending and cutting lines; operate fabricating machines such as flame cutters, plasma cutters, drill presses, and pipe cutters.
• Grind, chip, and straighten metal as part of fabrication processes.
• Ensure familiarity with common piping materials used in oil & gas operations.
• Work safely at heights, maintaining balance on ladders and scaffolds, and performing tasks such as lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Work with precision and accuracy while maintaining high standards.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and ensure proper care of tools and equipment.
• Apply basic knowledge of welding processes.
• Mentor junior employees to enhance their fabrication skills.
• Promote and maintain safety as a core value in all activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: High School / ITI – Fitter.
• Experience: 5–10 years of piping fabrication in a workshop environment, preferably within oil & gas projects. Gulf experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Skills & Knowledge:
• Strong ability in piping fabrication and layout.
• Familiar with welding processes and piping materials.
• Skilled in using fabrication tools and machines.
• Physical ability to handle demanding fabrication tasks.
