Pipefitter Foreman

Supervise a team of pipefitters, helpers, and equipment operators on-site.

Interpret project drawings, specifications, and method statements for pipeline works.

Plan daily work schedules and allocate manpower and machinery accordingly.

Ensure proper alignment, leveling, jointing, and laying of GRP, DI, HDPE, PVC, and concrete pipes.

Coordinate with site engineers, surveyors, and other civil teams (excavation, backfilling).

Inspect trench preparation, pipe bedding, compaction, and backfilling as per standards.

Verify material availability, delivery, and correct usage on-site.

Monitor and ensure safety compliance (Permit to Work, trench safety, confined space, lifting).

Report daily progress, issues, and manpower to the site/project engineer.

Guide the team during pressure testing, hydrotesting, and flushing activities.

Requirements

• Education ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Civil or relevant trade certification
• Experience 5-8 years (with at least 2-3 years as foreman in road/infrastructure)
• Gulf Experience UAE/GCC experience in road projects is strongly preferred
• Pipe Knowledge DI, GRP, HDPE, uPVC, RCC, and concrete pipes (up to 1200mm+)
• Codes & Standards Familiarity with UAE/local municipality standards (e.g., DM, RTA, etc.)
• Language Basic English (read/write), Hindi/Urdu/Tamil as secondary language
