Position Title:Planning Coordinator

Department: Planning / Project Control

Reports to: Planning Manager / Project Director

Job Purpose

The Planning Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities related to railway infrastructure works. This role ensures that project timelines are accurately developed, monitored, and reported, while aligning with contractual requirements and project milestones. The Planning Coordinator plays a key role in integrating inputs from engineering, procurement, and construction teams to maintain an updated and realistic project program.

Key Responsibilities

-1 Assist in Development, update, and maintain project baseline program (Primavera P6/TILOS) for Rail system works.

-2Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to collect progress data and update the master program.

-3Monitor project performance against the baseline schedule, identify delays/risks, and propose mitigation measures.

-4Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards,curves,histogram and look-ahead programs for management and clients.

-5Ensure compliance with railway authority requirements and interface with stakeholders regarding planning and scheduling issues.

-6Support claims, extension of time (EOT), and delay analysis by providing accurate planning data.

-7Assist in resource planning, manpower forecasting, and cash flow analysis in line with project requirements.

-8Facilitate coordination meetings to align project stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of railway-related milestones.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.

Experience:Minimum 5–7 years of experience in project planning and coordination, with at least 3 years in railway/metro projects.

Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure projects (railway, metro, or transportation).

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 ,TILOS, Acumen Fuse, and Excel .

Strong Proficiency in Earned Value Management(EVM),Schedule Performance Index (SPI) Techniques.

Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and delay analysis methodologies.

Familiarity with interface management in railway projects (civil, track, signaling, telecom, E&M systems).

Soft Skills:

Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
