Planning Engineer

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, considering resource availability, and demand forecasts to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
• Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve throughput and reduce lead times, ensuring timely delivery of products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and quality control, to align plans and resolve operational issues.
• Manage and track material requirements, ensuring timely procurement and availability of raw materials to support production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels, optimize stock management, and minimize carrying costs while meeting production demands to control cost.
• Conduct capacity planning and simulations to anticipate production constraints and propose adjustments to the schedule.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, highlighting key metrics, variances, and recommendations for improvements.
• Lead the implementation of planning software and systems, ensuring accurate data input and effective utilization to streamline processes.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve planning processes, incorporating best practices and industry standards to enhance performance.
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) planning, coordinating activities to ensure a smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
