We are a well-established contracting company in Pakistan, delivering high-value construction and infrastructure projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Planning Engineer with full command of Primavera P6 to join our project controls team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and update project baseline and detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6
- Prepare resource-loaded and cost-loaded programs, manpower histograms, and cash flow forecasts
- Monitor site progress and perform weekly and monthly schedule updates
- Analyze critical path, delays, and float consumption and prepare recovery schedules
- Prepare short-term look-ahead programs (2-week, 4-week, monthly)
- Coordinate with construction, procurement, and subcontractor teams to ensure schedule alignment
- Prepare and submit planning reports including S-curves, progress dashboards, and variance analysis
- Support Extension of Time (EOT) claims, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), and variations in accordance with FIDIC contracts
- Attend progress meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project milestones, and company planning procedures
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Planning Engineer
- Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, methodologies, and project controls
- Experience in baseline preparation, progress measurement, and reporting
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project (advantage)
Preferred Experience
- Experience in building, infrastructure, roads, bridges, or MEP projects
- Solid understanding of FIDIC-based contracts
- Experience working with consultants and government clients
