Planning Engineer

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and control detailed production schedules aligned with the Master Production Schedule (MPS), customer demand, and delivery commitments.
  • Ensure daily and weekly production plans are executed to achieve on-time customer deliveries and production attainment targets.
  • Generate, release, monitor, and close production work orders, ensuring accurate allocation of materials to corresponding sales orders.
  • Coordinate and synchronize production activities across different manufacturing sections to support delivery dates and optimal resource utilization.
  • Determine production priorities based on customer requirements, capacity availability, material readiness, and operational constraints.
  • Monitor schedule adherence, identify deviations or delays, analyze root causes, and communicate impacts to Sales and relevant stakeholders.
  • Plan and control raw materials and purchased items by releasing, firming, deferring, or canceling orders in line with inventory status and demand changes.
  • Maintain inventory levels within agreed targets, including safety stock control, while supporting uninterrupted production flow.
  • Monitor inventory performance, identify slow-moving and obsolete items, and support actions for inventory optimization and reduction.
  • Collect, analyze, and report key planning and supply chain KPIs such as Production Attainment, Loading Days, and OTIF to management.
  • Resolve planning and scheduling issues through data analysis and cross-functional coordination with Production, Sales, and Procurement.
  • Support continuous improvement of planning and material control processes through effective use and maintenance of MRP and planning systems.


Job Requirements:

  • Years of experience: At least 2 Years of Experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering (Production, Industrial, or Mechanical)
  • Preferred Professional Certificates: (CPIM - ISO 9001 Principles - Root Cause Analysis Principles - Project Management Principles)
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – Intermediate to Advanced.
  • Basic familiarity with digital forms, documentation, and online reporting tools
  • ERP systems (SAP / Oracle) knowledge is preferred.
