Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to support project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring. The role will focus on developing accurate project schedules, tracking execution, identifying risks, and ensuring projects are delivered within timelines and budget.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Primavera P6 scheduling, project tracking, and resource planning, preferably within water treatment, construction, or oil & gas industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Level 1–Level 4 project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Prepare baseline schedules aligned with project scope, BOQ, resources, and contractual milestones.
- Identify and monitor critical path activities and schedule risks.
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly project progress against baseline schedules.
- Prepare S-curves, dashboards, productivity reports, and Earned Value Analysis (EVA).
- Perform resource planning for manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Forecast resource requirements and monitor productivity performance.
- Conduct delay analysis and support preparation of EOT requests and delay claims.
- Assess schedule impacts due to scope changes, design revisions, procurement delays, or site constraints.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and subcontractors to align project schedules.
- Participate in internal and client progress review meetings and present schedule performance.
- Assist in cost monitoring, budget tracking, and cash flow forecasting.
- Maintain proper planning documentation, schedule logs, and reporting systems.
- Integrate schedule updates with ERP systems and Excel-based trackers.
- Support preparation of as-built schedules and project closeout documentation.
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning
- At least 2 years of experience in the water industry
- Experience in Water Treatment, Construction, or Oil & Gas projects preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems
- Knowledge of CCPM, EVA, project scheduling, and resource planning

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
