Planning Engineer

We are hiring a highly experienced Senior Planning Engineer to manage project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for high-rise residential and commercial building projects. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Primavera P6 / MS Project, progress measurement, project controls, dashboards, and recovery planning.

The candidate should be able to work closely with execution teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within approved budgets.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning & Scheduling

• Develop and maintain baseline and updated project schedules
• Prepare WBS, activity sequencing, logic links, and milestones
• Track critical path and highlight schedule risks early
• Prepare and implement recovery / catch-up schedules

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor site progress and prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports
• Develop MIS reports & dashboards for management review
• Conduct schedule variance analysis and propose corrective actions
• Participate in weekly planning/coordination meetings with stakeholders

Coordination (Execution / Procurement / Approvals)

• Coordinate with site teams for real-time updates and progress measurement
• Track procurement, approvals, submissions and deliverables
• Align project timelines with contractor/subcontractor schedules

Cost & Cash Flow Support

• Assist in preparation of cash flow forecasting
• Monitor indirect costs and support project profitability monitoring
• Support budget-related reporting and forecasting

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 8 - 10 years relevant experience in planning / project controls
• Strong experience in high-rise residential and commercial projects
• Excellent knowledge of:

Primavera P6 / MS Project scheduling

Baseline vs updates, critical path analysis

Progress measurement and reporting

Resource planning and forecasting

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Software & Tools

• Primavera P6
• MS Project
• Advanced Excel Reporting
• AutoCAD (preferred)
• Power BI / dashboards (added advantage)
