Job Summary:

The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules for building construction projects. The role ensures timely completion of projects by effective planning, resource allocation, and progress tracking in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
  • Develop baseline programs, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules on a regular basis.
  • Identify delays, analyze critical paths, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with the schedule.
  • Prepare progress reports (daily, weekly, and monthly).
  • Conduct delay analysis and support in claims and extension of time (EOT).
  • Track resource allocation (manpower, materials, equipment).
  • Participate in project meetings and provide planning insights.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and project specifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in planning for building construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project control, cost control, and reporting.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in high-rise or large-scale building projects.
  • Knowledge of delay analysis techniques (EOT, claims).
  • Certification in Primavera (P6) is an advantage.
