Planning Engineer(high rise construction)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project for high-rise building projects, ensuring alignment with project scope and contractual milestones.
  • Prepare baseline programs, monitor and update progress, and identify any deviations versus the schedule, initiating corrective actions where necessary.
  • Coordinate closely with site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely progress and flow of information.
  • Prepare reports including look-ahead schedules, progress measurement, resource histograms, and delay analyses (prospective and retrospective), supporting EOT (Extension of Time) claims if required.
  • Support cost control and risk management by integrating time and cost data and conducting regular progress reviews.
  • Participate actively in project meetings and planning workshops, presenting status updates and performance metrics to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all planning documents comply with legal, contractual, and company standards, including FIDIC or similar contract administration.
  • Control versions and backup of planning files, correspondence, and approvals for audit and compliance purposes.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ planning experience in UAE high-rise building construction.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.
  • Good understanding of UAE construction regulations, methodologies, and project life cycles.
  • Experience with delay analysis, critical path method (CPM), and claim support is highly valued.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
