Job Title: Plumbing Engineer - Residential Projects

Reporting To: Project Manager / MEP Head

Industry: Real Estate – Residential Construction
Experience Required: 5–10 years (preferably in residential or township projects)
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Job Purpose:

To plan, design, execute, and supervise all plumbing-related systems in residential construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, safety norms, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:1. Planning and Design:

• Review architectural and MEP drawings; coordinate plumbing layouts.
• Design water supply, drainage, rainwater harvesting, sewage, and STP systems.
• Ensure adherence to IS codes, NBC norms, and local municipal standards.
• Liaise with consultants and architects for design clarifications.

2. Execution and Supervision:

• Oversee installation of plumbing systems at the site as per approved drawings.
• Monitor daily progress, contractor productivity, and material usage.
• Coordinate with site engineers and other services (electrical, civil, HVAC) to prevent clashes.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks at each stage of installation.

3. Vendor and Contractor Management:

• Work with plumbing contractors and vendors for timely delivery and execution.
• Verify contractor bills, work orders, and material requisitions.
• Support procurement in identifying suitable plumbing materials and vendors.

4. Testing and Commissioning:

• Supervise hydro testing, pressure testing, and functional testing of plumbing systems.
• Ensure readiness of plumbing systems for handover to clients/occupants.
• Support in resolving snag list items and post-handover plumbing issues.

5. Documentation and Compliance:

• Maintain daily/weekly progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety norms and environmental standards.
• Keep records of as-built drawings and red-line markups.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of plumbing design and construction practices.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and plumbing-related software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good project coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of IS/NBC/CPHEEO standards and statutory plumbing codes.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Adherence to project timeline for plumbing execution
• Number of quality non-conformities raised
• Accuracy of material estimation and usage
• Number of design conflicts resolved at site
• Cost control within plumbing budgets

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
