Power BI Developer – (Operational Reporting & Analysis Team)
An opportunity has arisen for Power BI Developers in the Operational Reporting & Analysis team.
You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high quality reporting and insight solutions.
We’re looking for candidates who are confident, highly motivated and eager to collaborate. You’ll need to be a quick learner who can learn and adapt to new technologies being used within Lloyds Banking Group.
It's a great opportunity to be part of a large team focused on delivering personalised and relevant insights for our Colleagues, allowing them to make better data driven decisions. As we evolve as a team we’ll migrate to cloud which will provide us a unique opportunity to work with the latest cloud tools and technologies including data on the cloud.
We support the principles of agile working and are happy to consider flexible working arrangements however, due to the reporting requirements of this role we ask that colleagues work BST 9am – 5pm.

You'll be working closely with various stakeholders, identifying and understanding data requirements and providing actionable insights through comprehensive reports and dashboards, ensuring that data is accessible, reliable, and available for analytical and operational purposes.

Job Description
What Skills you’ll require
The key knowledge & experience you will require within this role are:-

Experienced in building reports and dashboards, publishing to Power BI Service, and managing workspaces

Ability to write DAX formulas for calculated columns and measures
-
Strong SQL skills for querying and shaping data from relational databases
-
Familiarity with row-level security and governance practices in Power BI
-
Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) to create and present insight-driven content effectively.

Curious, proactive, and adaptable—comfortable working in fast-paced, agile environments with multiple stakeholders.

Past experience utilises appropriate data tools, systems and techniques to collect, store, validate, extract, transform and load data

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.

Data Modelling: Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and techniques, both for structured and unstructured data.

Gather and analyse data from various sources to produce rich data visualisations to support business decision-making.

Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports and dashboards.

Work hands-on alongside engineering colleagues to understand and develop their own technical domain knowledge and should be able to take responsibility for their actions.

Work in a highly collaborative way to complete assigned work, showcase progress and address problems that are well defined, complex and often non-routine.
