Pre-K Teacher

The Goddard School® located in West Fayetteville is seeking a professional and passionate Pre-K Teacher. At our school, we put our teachers first because they put our students first. Key Responsibilities

Nurturing Care & Development:

  • Implement age-appropriate activities and experiences that foster a love of learning.
  • Support each child’s physical, social, and emotional growth through warm and engaging interactions.

Classroom Environment & Safety:

  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom that meets the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Help facilitate daily routines and transitions smoothly to ensure a calm environment for the children.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines, ensuring the well-being of every child during indoor and outdoor activities.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Maintain friendly and effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their child’s daily activities and care.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom partners and faculty members to share ideas and maintain a positive team dynamic.
  • Provide updates to the teaching team regarding student observations to help tailor the learning environment.

Professional Excellence:

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and school-wide training opportunities.
  • Stay current with best practices in pre-k education and kindergarten readiness.
  • Actively contribute to a welcoming and supportive school community.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. College degree preferred.
  • Previous teaching experienced in a classroom setting required.
  • Ability to develop warm, nurturing relationships with children and families.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
