Duties

  • Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional growth.
  • Facilitate engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori methods, standardized testing preparation, and early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques to maintain a respectful and productive environment.
  • Provide individualized support for children with special education needs or those requiring additional early intervention services.
  • Foster open communication with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to child welfare and development.
  • Oversee daily classroom activities, including toddler care routines, lesson planning, and classroom management to promote a structured yet flexible learning space.
  • Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and standards for daycare and private school settings while maintaining high-quality childhood development practices.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and classroom management techniques.
  • Experience in curriculum development across preschool and school-age programs with an emphasis on literacy education and math instruction.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including toddlers and elementary students.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage children actively and collaborate with parents and team members.
  • Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and behavior management strategies.
  • Competence in lesson planning, tutoring, teaching physical education, and utilizing Montessori methods where appropriate.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches based on individual student needs while maintaining a nurturing environment that supports child welfare. Pay: $14.75 - $16.00 per hour
