Pricing Executive (Freight Forwarding)

Job description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Pricing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and analyzing freight rates to support our sales and operations divisions. This role is crucial for ensuring competitive edge, maintaining profitability, and expanding our market presence in the logistics sector by focusing heavily on import/export sea pricing alongside robust air freight procurement.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing and rate procurement within the freight forwarding or logistics industry, with a primary focus on import/export sea freight and good working knowledge of air freight.

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.

Location: Karachi, Pakistan

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and actively secure competitive freight rates from shipping lines, airlines, co loaders, and overseas agents for both import and export services.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with carriers and vendors to secure preferential pricing and space allocations during peak seasons.
• Prepare and present timely, accurate, and competitive quotations and proposals to the sales team and clients, ensuring optimal profitability.
• Negotiate contract rates and spot rates with service providers and overseas networks to optimize cost structures and close business opportunities.
• Collaborate with the operations and sales teams to ensure a seamless flow of pricing updates, local charges, and tariff structures to resolve any rate-related discrepancies.

Skills:

• Proven track record of managing carrier relationships and securing competitive tariff structures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills with numbers. o Strong knowledge of global logistics processes, shipping line structures, customs tariffs, and INCOTERMS.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced, competitive market environment.

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs85,000.00 per hour
