Job Description:
 Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal BIM/CAD Designer to join our team! You will have a key role in managing and delivering Bridge and Underpass structure designs in a fully Digital BIM environment, for a wide variety of critical transportation projects across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
  
  What You'll Be Doing: 
  - Supporting the BIM/CAD Manager and Engineers for the Bridge/Structures team in development and management of Digital delivery workflows, resourcing and work planning.
- Driving development of additional Tools, Families, Design Libraries etc required for effective BIM delivery of bridges and other linear structures on all projects, in an ISO 19650 compliant context.
- Providing Discipline-specific input to project BIM Execution Plans and workflows to align with project requirements.
- Supervising BIM/CAD specialists in production of 3D models for drawing preparation, clash identification and resolution, and presentations aligned with project LOD requirements (typically LOD 300).
- Ensuring co-ordination of all Model interfaces with designers and engineers both within own Discipline, and with other design teams.
- Ensuring all models, drawings and deliverables are fully checked in compliance with project and company Quality standards and BIM information requirements.
- Supervising production of Project Information Models (PIMs) in accordance with agreed TIDP, MIDP and CDE protocols
- Ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of all project deliverables.
 
  What Required Skills You'll Bring: 
  - Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or related subject) from an accredited institution.
- People Management skills including staff mentoring, development and evaluation.
- Minimum 12 years' relevant experience in BIM / CAD delivery, using common industry software (Revit, Openbridge or similar), to at least LOD 300 level.
- High proficiency and experience in BIM Codes and Standards (inc. ISO 19650, PAS 1192-2, BS 1192).
- Advanced skills including creation of Federated models.
- Proficient in both 2D and 3D CAD design.
- Demonstrated ability to set up new Revit/Openbridge project files for the team.
- Able to generate and maintain standards and libraries of model objects, including parametric design elements, assemblies, sub-assemblies and creation of families etc.
- Ability to conduct clash identification and resolution.
- Proficient in BIM Authoring, Scripting Design Review, Coordination, Simulations and Collaboration platforms including Revit Structure, Dynamo, Navisworks, BIM360 and AutoCAD.
 
  What Desired Skills You'll Bring: 
  - Experience in Bentley ProjectWise, Microstation, Bluebeam Studio, Autodesk Inventor Professional, 3D Max, Sketchup and/or Synchro
- Excellent Communication skills in English, both Verbal and Written.
- Strong inter-personal skills to build relationships both within and outside the Team.
