Procurement Coordinator

Summary

Assists in the activities or tasks for the indirect global procurement buying team or in the procurement of goods and services. Role is primarily administrative support of the global procurement buying team or purchasing function and may involve some low-level purchasing of off-the-shelf items.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting indirect global procurement buying team members, processes, and/or standards.
  
• Maintains files and records of materials, services, prices, inventories, and deliveries.
  
• Answers telephone and gives information or routes calls to appropriate personnel.
  
• Provides support to the procurement or stock room function throughout the facility as required.
  
• Consults catalogs and other references to obtain prices and specifications.
  
• May contact vendors and suppliers to follow up on outstanding purchase orders or issues

Typical Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
