Procurement Engineer

Min - 3 Year of UAE experience in Joinery factory

Salary : 6 to 8 k,

The Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, finishes, furniture, and services required for interior design and fit-out projects. The role ensures timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:Procurement & Sourcing

• Identify and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for interior fit-out materials (e.g., joinery, furniture, lighting, flooring, MEP items, etc.).
• Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure all procured items meet project specifications, quality standards, and design intent.
• Coordinate with the design and project teams to finalize material selections and specifications.
• Manage the procurement schedule to align with project timelines and site progress.

Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain a database of qualified suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Source alternative materials or suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely supply.

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare purchase orders, subcontracts, and related procurement documentation.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor communications.
• Support cost control and budgeting efforts by providing procurement cost data.

Coordination

• Work closely with design, project management, and site teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Track deliveries and coordinate logistics to ensure on-time availability at the project site.
• Resolve any discrepancies related to quality, delivery, or pricing.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical), Architecture, or related field.
• Experience: 3–7 years of experience in procurement within the interior design, fit-out, or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, and suppliers in the local and regional market.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement software.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of project timelines and material logistics.

Preferred:

• Experience in luxury interiors, hospitality, or commercial fit-outs.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD drawings for material take-off and verification.
• Familiarity with sustainable materials and green procurement practices.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
