We are looking for a Procurement Engineer in Orlando, FL to serve as a key interface between Cost and Value Engineering (CVE), service business partners, and field teams involved in modernization and upgrades for large rotating equipment.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Participate in the development of effective cost-out measures in close alignment with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Proposal.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales during the bidding process for new and optimized product offerings.
- Contribute to selected key R&D programs to help shape competitive products aligned with market requirements.
- Facilitate technical collaboration to support the creation of sourcing strategies across material fields.
- Promote supplier innovation and conduct technology scouting jointly with R&D to enhance the competitiveness of Siemens Energy products.
- Support the market introduction of new products through early engagement and strategic alignment with suppliers in emerging applications and service offerings.
- Engage with a broad network of experts including Cost Engineers, Commodity Specialists, and Supplier Quality professionals.
- 10% domestic/international travel required.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field and 8 years of experience.
- Full term of experience must include: energy business;
- R&D;
- Project management;
- Aero derivative gas turbines;
- Knowledge of large gas turbines;
- Gas turbines alternatives;
- Supply chain procurement;
- Technical product knowledge in design and operation of power generation components and systems.
- 10% domestic/international travel required.
