The Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of raw materials, hardware, accessories, packaging, and services required for furniture manufacturing and retail operations. The role ensures timely procurement, cost optimization, quality compliance, and effective vendor management while maintaining inventory levels to support production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing
- Source and procure furniture-related materials including wood, MDF, plywood, laminates, veneers, fabrics, foams, hardware, glass, metals, packaging materials, and consumables.
- Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely processing and approvals.
- Monitor procurement activities to ensure uninterrupted production and operations.
- Maintain procurement records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Resolve supplier-related issues and discrepancies promptly.
- Negotiate contracts and annual pricing agreements where applicable.
Inventory & Planning
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and sales teams to forecast material requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent shortages and overstocking.
- Track lead times and ensure materials are delivered as per production plans.
- Support inventory audits and reconciliation activities.
Cost Control & Analysis
- Analyze market trends and material pricing.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Prepare comparative cost analyses and supplier evaluation reports.
- Assist management in budgeting and procurement planning.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure procured materials meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Production departments regarding material inspections.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and contractual obligations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records for audits and reporting purposes.
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, warehouse, production, and finance teams.
- Follow up on deliveries, invoices, and payment-related matters.
- Coordinate import procurement activities where applicable.
- Provide regular procurement status reports to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in the furniture, manufacturing, interior fit-out, woodworking, or related industry.
- Experience in sourcing furniture raw materials and hardware is preferred.

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
