Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist with 3–5 years of experience in medical procurement within a multi-specialty healthcare environment. The role is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for medical consumables, equipment, and clinical services while ensuring compliance with regulatory, financial, and operational standards.
The successful candidate will support procurement strategy through vendor management, tendering processes, contract administration, and supply chain coordination to ensure continuity of clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations
- Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle from requisition to purchase order, delivery, and invoice reconciliation.
- Source medical consumables, pharmaceuticals, and clinical equipment in line with hospital demand and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal governance, financial controls, and relevant healthcare regulations.
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors.
- Maintain relationships with local and international suppliers to ensure pricing competitiveness and supply reliability.
- Monitor supplier performance including delivery timelines, quality standards, and service levels.
Tendering and Negotiation
- Manage RFQ, RFP, and tender processes for clinical and operational procurement.
- Conduct commercial negotiations to secure favorable pricing, service agreements, and supply terms.
- Support framework agreements and long-term supplier partnerships.
Contract and Compliance Management
- Review and administer procurement contracts including pricing schedules, service agreements, and delivery terms.
- Ensure compliance with shipping terms (Incoterms), import regulations, and medical device registration requirements where relevant.
- Maintain procurement documentation and audit trails.
Logistics and Supply Coordination
- Coordinate with logistics teams on international shipments, customs clearance, and inventory planning.
- Monitor stock levels and support demand forecasting with clinical and operational departments.
Requirments:
- 3–5 years of procurement experience in healthcare, ideally within a hospital or multi-specialty clinical environment.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent procurement accreditation is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience managing medical suppliers, tender processes, and procurement systems
- Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle management.
- Experience with vendor onboarding, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
- Familiarity with international shipping terms (Incoterms) and import logistics.
- Ability to manage procurement documentation and financial approvals.
- Experience working with international healthcare organisations or multinational operations.
- Exposure to procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar ERP platforms.
