Emergency Project: Relief, Recovery & Resilience in Pakistan (KP & Punjab)

About Us:

Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) is a leading national non-profit organization committed to promoting quality education, lifelong learning, and social protection for marginalized communities across Pakistan. With over 25 years of experience, ITA has successfully implemented large-scale education and emergency response programs during earthquakes, floods, conflicts, displacement, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Our interventions place special emphasis on girls, women, minorities, and children with disabilities, ensuring inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development. ITA partners closely with government departments, international donors, and local communities to deliver impactful solutions in education, climate resilience, child protection, and community empowerment.

Project Overview:

ITA is launching an Emergency Support Action to assist flood-affected schools and communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab. The project will focus on restoring partially damaged schools, providing accelerated learning and remedial education, and supporting children, especially girls and adolescents, with psychosocial care, life skills, and essential learning materials. Interventions will also include provision of WASH, menstrual hygiene management (MHM), and health kits, along with community-based climate change resilience actions. By combining relief, recovery, and resilience, ITA seeks to ensure that children and communities, especially girls emerge stronger from this climate-induced crisis.

This initiative aims to:

  • Promote climate resilience and sustainable community rebuilding.
  • Rebuild safe and functional learning spaces for children and youth.
  • Equip learners with remedial education, life skills, Mental Health & Psychosocial support.
  • Support families with essential relief and health/hygiene needs.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in NGOs, education, or emergency response projects.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement policies, vendor management, and compliance standards.
  • Experience managing logistics in emergency or field project environments.
  • Excellent organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and field travel requirements.

Job Description:

  • Manage procurement processes for goods, services, and equipment in compliance with ITA policies and donor requirements.
  • Coordinate logistics for project activities, including transport, distribution of materials, and field support.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement, contracts, and inventory.
  • Support field teams in timely delivery of learning kits, WASH/MHM supplies, and relief materials.
  • Liaise with vendors, government officials, and project teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure adherence to ITA’s safeguarding, accountability, and ethical procurement standards.
