- Provide pricing information to the sales team and confirm orders for both local and imported items. Verify requisition details for accuracy and completeness.
- Research and evaluate potential vendors based on quality, price, and reliability criteria.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and discuss product availability.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels across branches and coordinate procurement needs.
- Track open orders, address procurement-related issues, and provide regular updates to internal staff. Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements in procurement processes.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement activities with organizational goals.
- Engage with local and import suppliers to maintain strong relationships and explore new opportunities. Conduct meetings with new and existing suppliers to discuss terms, performance, and incentives. Issue and review purchase orders for approved procurement activities
- Create and maintain item records in procurement systems as required. Compile price lists, formulate incentive plans, and source new brands for product offerings. Monitor inventory levels and adjust procurement activities accordingly, updating reorder sheets.
- Design commission structures for sales team members involved in procurement activities. Coordinate import shipments, verify import/export declarations, and ensure compliance with regulations. Address non-moving inventory issues promptly to minimize financial impact.
