Position Summary:

The Procurement Manager at Mister Baker LLC is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement operations for both local and international sourcing. The role focuses on ensuring timely availability of quality ingredients, packaging materials, equipment, and services at competitive prices, while maintaining supplier relationships and optimizing the company’s cost and efficiency goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with Mister Baker’s operational and business objectives.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor negotiations, alternative sourcing, and bulk purchasing.
  • Create procurement forecasts and budgets based on production and sales requirements.

2. Vendor Management (Local & International)

  • Source, evaluate, and onboard both local and international suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and logistics.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistency in quality, reliability, and delivery timelines.
  • Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and contracts while ensuring compliance with UAE import/export regulations.
  • Coordinate with customs agents and freight forwarders for international shipments.

3. Purchasing Operations

  • Oversee the complete procurement cycle: requisition, quotation, approval, purchase order, and delivery.
  • Ensure purchases adhere to company policies, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Maintain and update supplier databases and price lists regularly.
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate with warehouse and production teams to prevent shortages or overstocking.

4. Quality & Compliance

  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance and Operations teams to ensure procured items meet Mister Baker’s quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct periodic supplier audits and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE Food Safety and Municipality regulations for all procured food items.

5. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare regular reports on procurement performance, cost analysis, and vendor performance metrics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management on sourcing trends and market fluctuations.
  • Maintain transparent documentation for audit and review purposes.
