Role Overview
Rabdan Developments is seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager to oversee all non-construction procurement activities across the company. This role is responsible for sourcing and managing a wide range of items and services including marketing materials, office supplies, corporate gifts, catering, events, uniforms, technology, and facilities-related purchases. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, resourceful, and capable of building an efficient internal system to manage procurement requests from approximately 80–100 employees across all departments. This position requires someone proactive and independent, able to standardize processes and negotiate favorable supplier terms while maintaining strong cost control and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
· Procurement Management
· Oversee end-to-end procurement for all non-construction categories: office supplies, marketing materials, events, travel, catering, printing, furniture, uniforms, and technology.
· Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, value, and timely delivery.
· Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements to achieve optimal cost efficiency.
· Ensure all procurement aligns with internal policies, budgets, and approval workflows.
· System & Process Development
· Develop and implement a centralized procurement request system (manual or digital) for all staff to submit purchase requests.
· Create standardized templates for purchase orders, supplier onboarding, and price comparison sheets.
· Maintain a supplier database and track purchase history for recurring items.
· Monitor and report on departmental spending and supplier performance on a quarterly basis.
· Budgeting & Cost Control
· Work with the finance department to forecast annual procurement budgets.
· Monitor monthly procurement spend and provide variance reports.
· Identify opportunities for cost savings through bulk purchasing, framework agreements, or preferred vendor programs.
· Vendor Management
· Build and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and service providers.
· Conduct periodic supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, VAT requirements, and procurement documentation standards.
· Events, Marketing & Operations Support
· Collaborate closely with the marketing and HR teams to support events, exhibitions, product launches, and internal activities.
· Source and coordinate event-related services (venue, catering, décor, logistics, etc.).
· Manage procurement timelines to ensure all marketing materials and supplies are ready ahead of deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement, ideally within corporate offices, real estate, or hospitality environments.
• Proven experience in managing diverse vendor portfolios and multiple procurement categories. • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic an advantage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement/ERP systems.
