Job Summary:


The Architectural Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing all procurement and supply activities for architectural projects. This role ensures the timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services that meet design specifications and quality standards, while managing costs and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The manager collaborates closely with architects, designers, and contractors to evaluate technical proposals, negotiate contracts, and optimize the procurement process. The position requires strategic planning, supplier management, and a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and project delivery timelines.


Responsibilities are not limited to:


  • Preparing the annual procurement plan in accordance with the company's strategy and objectives.
  • Preparing and developing the budget of the Public Procurement Department, reviewing and auditing procurement contracts, and monitoring financial performance against the budget to ensure alignment.
  • Planning the procurement operations in coordination with the relevant departments and studying the actual procurement needs of the company.
  • Controlling the costs of purchases of materials and general purchases, manage relations with suppliers, and follow up on the implementation of purchase contract orders.
  • Create and manage work flow related to the implementation of procedures, and establish procurement key performance indicators and success measurement indicator protocols.
  • Ensuring the implementation of all procurement contracts in accordance with the specified time schedules and in accordance with the required quality and quantities.
  • Meeting and continuous coordination with the work team and supervisors to review the progress made in procurement and the progress of performance.
  • Good distribution of the company's priorities of purchases, managing them according to the plan, and following up on the administrative work, including opening suppliers' files and accounts, and following up on their financial dues.
  • Build substantive internal (and external) relationships with stakeholders in order to meet broader business needs.
  • Manage and ensure the effective achievement of objectives by setting individual goals, developing and motivating staff in order to maximize operational performance, follow-up on training and making recommendations on training needs and development needs of subordinates.
  • Directing the procurement team to comply with and apply the terms of contracts, and follow up on suppliers, success partners, and their performance and compliance with contractual obligations. Participate in the settlement of contract disputes and other issues.
  • Carrying out various studies and researches (forecasting and gathering information about markets, quality, and specifications, studying alternatives) and working on it.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned to him by the line manager within the scope of work.


Qualifications:


  1. Bachelor of Architecture.
  2. 7-10 years relevant experience.
  3. Prior experience with a construction, or real estate company, is desirable.
  4. Practitioner / advanced capability and experience in Excel, MS office.
  5. Experience of preparing and presenting planning and scheduling outputs for varied audiences.
  6. Experience in dealing with consultants/contractors/subcontractors.
  7. Have an excellent ability to read, analyze and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing in Arabic & English Language.
  8. Good negotiation ability.
  9. Proven experience in procurement and supply management for architectural and interior design projects .
