The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing all materials, accessories, and services required for uniform and garment production. This includes fabrics, trims, packaging materials, and machinery-related supplies. The role ensures all procurement activities are carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with the company’s production timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and source suppliers for fabrics, buttons, zippers, threads, labels, and packaging materials.
  • Request and analyze quotations, prepare price comparison sheets, and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely availability of materials for production.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while developing new vendor options to improve cost and quality.
  • Collaborate with the production, design, and quality control teams to ensure materials meet technical and quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
  • Monitor inventory levels and plan replenishment based on production schedules.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
  • Support budgeting and cost analysis for fabrics, trims, and related materials.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for the receipt, inspection, and storage of goods.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in garment, textile, or uniform manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment accessories.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of import/export documentation for fabric sourcing is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with garment production processes and timelines.
  • A proactive team player with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
