Procurement Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and preparing comparative statements
  • Process purchase orders in line with company policies and approved budgets
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and compliance with specifications
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and filing systems
  • Support inventory monitoring in coordination with storekeeping and warehouse teams
  • Track order status and follow up on pending deliveries or discrepancies
  • Assist in supplier evaluation and maintain vendor databases
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement procedures and local regulations
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand material requirements and timelines

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of procurement or purchasing experience in Qatar
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, documentation, and supplier coordination
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Good organizational and time management abilities
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics (ERP system) (preferred)
  • Prior experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse operations (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate in Hindi (preferred)
