Procurement Officer (Civil Engineering Background)

Job Overview

We are looking for a Procurement Officer (Civil Engineer–based) with 3–5 years of UAE experience to manage the procurement of civil construction materials, subcontractors, and services. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiation, and timely delivery of materials in compliance with project requirements, company policies, and UAE market standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for civil construction projects.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors in the UAE.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, LPOs, and purchase orders.
• Ensure materials comply with project specifications, BOQs, and approvals.
• Coordinate with engineering, site, and QS teams to meet project timelines.
• Monitor delivery schedules and resolve supply or quality issues.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, cost comparisons, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and contract requirements.

Key Requirements & Skills

• 3–5 years of UAE experience in procurement for civil construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of civil materials, suppliers, and UAE market pricing.
• Experience handling vendors, negotiations, and cost control.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP/procurement systems.
• Good communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with roads, infrastructure, utilities, or building projects.
• Familiarity with local UAE suppliers and authority-approved materials.
• Knowledge of contract terms and procurement best practices.
