Role Summary:

About the Role We are looking for a Procurement Manager (Fruits & Vegetables) to lead end-to-end sourcing, vendor development, and procurement operations for fresh produce. The role demands strong supplier networks, market intelligence, and expertise in managing the complexities of perishable goods while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely supply.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement procurement strategies for fruits & vegetables.

- Build, evaluate, and manage supplier/vendor networks to ensure consistent quality and supply.

- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and credit terms with farmers, aggregators, and distributors.

- Monitor daily market trends, pricing, and seasonal availability to optimize procurement.

- Ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with food safety standards.

- Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and operations teams to streamline the cold chain and minimize wastage.

- Maintain accurate procurement data, vendor records, and performance reports.

- Drive cost optimization, supplier performance improvement, and risk management.

Requirements-

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

- 5–8 years of procurement experience, preferably in fruits & vegetables / fresh produce / Horeca sector.

- Strong vendor development, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

- In-depth knowledge of fresh produce markets, seasonal demand cycles, and cold chain logistics.

- Proven ability to handle perishables efficiently with minimal wastage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per month
