Job Purpose:

The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the procurement process, including the creation of Purchase Orders (POs) and Goods Received Notes (GRNs). The role requires experience in alcohol industry, African procurement contexts and familiarity with global supply chains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Order Management: Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational and donor guidelines.
  • Goods Received Notes (GRNs): Generate GRNs and match with PO and invoice to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Automation of Report from MSD: Automation of cashflow report from Microsoft dynamics after considering payable and receivable.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors in accordance with organizational procedures.
  • Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best value for the organization.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and supplier performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and implement best practices.

Inventory Planning: Able to manage working capital of company including inventory.
