Procurement Officer - Transport & Logistics

Procurement Executive – Transport & Logistics will be responsible for cost-effective and timely procurement of spare parts, consumables, fuel, and cross-hire machinery while maintaining quality, compliance, and vendor efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish framework agreements to source and procure spare parts and consumables at preferential rates; ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
• Manage bulk fuel supply contracts, monitor usage, and reconcile with GPS/fuel reports.
• Maintain strong knowledge of machinery vendors and arrange cross-hire of machinery when fleet availability is limited; negotiate terms and track utilization.
• Maintain, review, and update the Approved Vendor List regularly.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, budgets, and audit requirements.
• Coordinate with Workshop, Finance, and Project teams to align procurement with operational needs.
• Prepare and submit weekly status updates and monthly reports on procurement, fuel usage, and cost analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in procurement, preferably within transport, logistics, or construction sectors.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
• Understanding of fleet, machinery, and consumable procurement processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software.
• Experience managing cross-hire arrangements for machinery and vehicles.
