Product Specialist - CNS

Overview

The Product Specialist is responsible for promoting and driving the sales of assigned products by engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key stakeholders. This role involves developing a deep understanding of the product, conducting market analysis, educating customers, and ensuring sales targets are met.

Responsibilities
  • Sales & Business Development: Promote and sell assigned products to healthcare professionals (HCPs), including doctors, pharmacists, and key decision-makers.
  • Meet and strive to exceed sales targets by effectively communicating the product's benefits and features.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers to enhance product visibility and sales performance.
  • Conduct regular visits to assigned territories, ensuring optimal coverage of HCPs and key accounts.
  • Product Knowledge & Training: Stay updated on product features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Provide product training and educational support to HCPs, sales teams, and distribution partners.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns with in-depth product knowledge.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies that enhance market penetration.
  • Provide feedback to the management team regarding customer preferences, competitor positioning, and potential growth areas.
  • Promotional Activities & Events: Participate in medical conferences, product launches, and promotional events.
  • Organize and conduct educational workshops, CME sessions, and scientific meetings for HCPs.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to execute product campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all activities comply with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales performance, and market insights.
  • Submit regular reports on sales progress, territory coverage, and customer feedback.
Key Requirements
  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or a similar role promoting CNS product is a must.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry with exposure to product promotion.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic sales approaches.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Work Conditions
  • Field-based role requiring frequent visits to healthcare institutions and customers.
  • May require occasional travel for conferences and training sessions.
