Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to manage and optimize the grinding and coating production lines of a calcium carbonate plant. The candidate will be responsible for daily production operations, process optimization, quality control, and coordination with maintenance and quality teams to ensure safe, efficient, and stable production under shift-based operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily production operations for calcium carbonate grinding and coating lines.
- Ensure production targets (capacity, quality, and efficiency) are achieved.
- Monitor and control process parameters (grinding fineness, coating quality, throughput, and material flow).
- Optimize production processes to improve output, reduce waste, and lower operating costs.
- Coordinate with maintenance (electrical and mechanical) teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Supervise operators and shift teams and ensure proper operation of mills, classifiers, coating machines, conveyors, dust collectors, and packing systems.
- Ensure product quality meets required specifications (particle size, coating performance, consistency, etc.).
- Prepare daily and monthly production reports, including output, downtime, and efficiency.
- Support commissioning, startup, and ramp-up of new production lines or equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and operational procedures inside the plant.
- Work in shift rotation and handle production issues during operation.
- Implement continuous improvement actions in production, process, and workflow.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in production or process engineering in industrial plants (preferably minerals, grinding, cement, or chemical processing).
- Good understanding of grinding and coating processes, material handling, and powder processing systems.
- Experience in managing multi-line production environments is a strong advantage.
- Ability to analyze production problems and implement practical solutions.
- Strong coordination and teamwork skills with operations and maintenance teams.
- Willing to work in shifts.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in calcium carbonate, fillers, minerals processing, or similar industries.
