Production Engineer - Steel Fabrication

We are looking for a Production Engineer – Steel Fabrication to oversee and manage day-to-day activities in our steel workshop. The role ensures smooth execution of fabrication works by coordinating manpower, machines, and material flow, while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily and weekly production activities in coordination with project and workshop managers.
• Review shop drawings and cutting plans from the detailing team; ensure proper understanding by supervisors and fabricators.
• Monitor and control material usage, cutting optimization, and wastage.
• Supervise workshop processes including cutting, bending, drilling, welding, and assembly.
• Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure fabrication meets client specifications and project standards.
• Track production progress vs. schedule; prepare daily and weekly production reports.
• Liaise with procurement and stores for timely availability of materials, consumables, and tools.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Enforce HSE compliance within the workshop.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in steel fabrication workshops or structural steel projects.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, workshop equipment, and steel erection methods.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication/shop drawings.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, welding standards, and safety requirements.
• Good leadership, planning, and reporting skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
