The Production Head is responsible for overseeing the entire production process to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, on time, and in compliance with company quality standards. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, process optimization, and coordination between departments to achieve production targets and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, and manage the overall production operations to meet company goals and deadlines.
- Develop and implement production schedules, resource plans, and workflow strategies to optimize efficiency.
- Monitor production performance metrics (output, downtime, wastage, etc.) and ensure continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with Quality Control, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee manpower planning, training, and development for production staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards across all production activities.
- Identify and implement process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain accurate production reports and present performance updates to senior management.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Drive innovation and technology integration in production processes to improve productivity.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and production standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in production management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale production operations.
