Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of our plastic products manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics production processes such as stretch blow moulding (PET) and injection molding and will ensure efficient production, quality control, staff supervision, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, organize, and control production to ensure goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to standard.
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of production teams, shift supervisors, and operators.
* Prepare and analyse production reports including material issued vs consumed and downtime and it’s impact on machine wise targets fulfilment.
* Monitor production schedules and adjust workloads as needed to meet customer deadlines.
* Ensure adherence to quality standards and implement corrective actions to address defects or issues.
* Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality departments to improve processes and reduce downtime.
* Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods in coordination with supply chain/logistics teams.
* Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
* Optimize manufacturing efficiency through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
* Prepare and analyze production reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
* Lead and motivate the production team, providing training and performance evaluations.
* Support new product launches and tooling changes as needed.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
* 5+ years of experience in a production management role within the plastics industry.
* Strong knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes e.g., stretch blow moulding (PET) and injection molding.
* Proven ability to manage production teams and meet output targets.
* Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.
* Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 9001, etc.) and lean manufacturing principles.
* Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with automation systems and robotic equipment.
* Knowledge of mold/tooling design and maintenance.
* Six Sigma certification or lean manufacturing training
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs250,000.00 per month
