Job Purpose:

The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the complete production cycle within the printing & packaging operation. The role ensures efficient use of resources, timely production, quality compliance, and optimal output through effective production planning, ERP-driven execution, and cross-functional coordination with stores, procurement, maintenance, and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and oversee the end-to-end production cycle, from raw material availability to finished goods dispatch.
• Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in line with customer demand and business targets.
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials to achieve production efficiency and cost control.
• Coordinate closely with Stores/Warehouse and Procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials (paper, ink, chemicals, consumables).
• Monitor production progress and resolve bottlenecks related to machines, materials, or manpower.
• Ensure production activities are accurately executed and tracked through ERP systems.
• Use ERP for production planning, job cards, material consumption, WIP tracking, and finished goods reporting.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, printing specifications, and customer requirements throughout the production process.
• Implement and enforce SOPs, production controls, and safety standards on the shop floor.
• Lead and develop production teams, including supervisors and operators, to improve productivity and discipline.
• Analyze production KPIs, wastage, downtime, and variances; prepare reports for management review.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and optimize production flow.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant production management experience, preferably in printing, packaging, or manufacturing industry.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of the complete production cycle in printing & packaging operations.
• Practical experience in using ERP systems for production planning and control.
• Experience in managing production teams, shifts, and performance targets.
