Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager – Kitchen & Wardrobes to manage the manufacturing of modular kitchens, wardrobes, and related cabinetry products.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all production activities are carried out according to approved drawings from the Sales and Design team, while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and timely delivery.
The role requires strong experience in modular kitchen and wardrobe manufacturing, board-based furniture production, CNC machining, and installation coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Management
- Plan and supervise daily production of modular kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets, and related furniture.
- Ensure production is carried out strictly according to approved shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Prepare production schedules to meet delivery timelines.
- Monitor workflow across different departments including cutting, CNC, edge banding, drilling, assembly, and finishing.
Machinery & Factory Operations
- Manage operations of automatic and manual woodworking machinery including:
- Drilling and boring machines
- Membrane press / lamination machines
- Ensure machines are used efficiently and maintained properly.
- Implement safe working procedures in the factory.
Materials & Technical Knowledge
- Have strong knowledge of materials used in kitchen and wardrobe manufacturing including:
- Understand hardware and accessories such as:
- Kitchen baskets and accessories.
Workforce Management
- Supervise carpenters, machine operators, assemblers, and finishing staff.
- Allocate manpower to ensure smooth production flow.
- Arrange additional skilled workers when production load increases.
Coordination with Sales & Design Team
- Work closely with the Sales and Design departments to understand project drawings and specifications.
- Resolve technical or production issues related to designs.
- Ensure accurate conversion of drawings into finished products.
Quality Control
- Ensure all kitchen and wardrobe products meet design specifications, dimensions, finishing standards, and hardware installation requirements.
- Inspect products before dispatch to site.
Installation Coordination
- Coordinate with installation teams to ensure smooth installation at project sites.
- Address production-related issues during installation if required.
Reporting
- Prepare daily production reports and project progress reports.
- Report production status, delays, and factory performance to GM Factory and Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Furniture Manufacturing, Wood Technology, Interior Design, Industrial Production, or related field.
- Technical certifications in cabinetry manufacturing will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in kitchen and wardrobe manufacturing.
- Experience working in modular kitchen factories or large furniture manufacturing units.
- Hands-on experience with CNC production and modern cabinetry systems.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to read and understand technical shop drawings and production drawings.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hardware and wardrobe accessories.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Strong planning and production scheduling abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience working in automated modular kitchen factories.
- Familiarity with European hardware systems (Blum, Hettich, Hafele, etc.).
- Ability to manage large-scale production operations.
